1. What cookies and browser storage are

Cookies are small files that a website can store in your browser. Browser storage, such as local storage, lets the website remember information on your device without sending it to the server every time.

Green Gas uses these tools to make the site work smoothly and to keep your order experience consistent as you move between pages.

2. Storage we use

  • Cart storage: remembers the cylinder sizes and quantities you added to your cart.
  • Checkout/order storage: can remember your latest local order confirmation so the confirmation page can display it.
  • Theme preference: remembers whether you prefer the light or dark display mode.
  • Admin session cookie: keeps an authorised admin signed in while managing orders.
  • Rate-limit records: help protect checkout, order tracking and admin login from repeated misuse.

3. Essential cookies

Essential cookies and storage are needed for core website functions, such as cart behaviour, checkout flow, admin access, order management and security. If these are blocked or cleared, some parts of the website may not work correctly.

4. Preference storage and optional analytics

The theme switch uses browser storage to remember your display choice. This is a convenience setting and does not identify you by itself.

If you allow analytics, we use a random browser identifier in local storage for up to 90 days to measure page visits, cart additions, checkout-page visits and WhatsApp link clicks. Campaign attribution is kept in session storage for 30 minutes. Our analytics records contain page names, broad traffic sources and campaign codes, not full URLs, email addresses, phone numbers or message contents. These records are scheduled for deletion after 90 days.

We remember your analytics choice in the greenGasAnalyticsConsentV1 cookie for one year. Rejecting analytics keeps shopping available. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals disable this analytics collection. Changing your choice stops future collection and clears the analytics identifier on this browser; previously collected records expire under the retention schedule.

5. Third-party services

When online payment is enabled, iKhokha may use cookies or similar technologies on its secure payment pages. WhatsApp, Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, font providers or other linked services may also use their own cookies when you open their services.

Those third-party services are controlled by their own privacy and cookie policies.

6. Managing cookies

Choose Accept all cookies or Reject optional cookies in the website notice. Analytics is off until you choose Accept all cookies. You can change your choice using Cookie preferences in the footer. Essential browser storage is still needed for core functions such as cart, checkout, customer account history on this device, admin access and security.

You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. The exact steps depend on your browser. Clearing site data may remove your saved cart, theme preference, order confirmation and login session.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when the website, checkout, payment or security features change. The latest version will be posted on this page.
